Sometimes ART isn’t ‘pretty’…

Good morning…

The commitment made about using my voice in and about this journey was to share the good, the bad, the ugly & the real.

This piece was done many years ago when I began fully remembering a part of my story.  A particularly dark place.  I was angry and full of grief. Confused. Needing a way to express the un-expressable. It’s time for me to allow Him to heal this part of my story.

This place also is NOT a place to share trauma, but ways through the trauma. The Jesus way through. Letting Him heal.

Healing takes on all kinds of forms.

Sometimes words aren’t there. Sometimes there is no way to speak it even within the safety of our  homes or a counselors office.

So, I got out the hammer, screwdriver, screws , nails, fabric , paint and various other ‘mixed media’ elements.

I share this not to wig anyone out. Not to stay in dark places but to show that sometimes our places, yours and mine, can just feel like this.

He is always with us. Always attending . Always waiting for us to invite Him into our story. He has not yet been invited into this part of my story. Working on it ♡

Take hope brave hearts, tired souls, the scared and alone…the promise of lighter places is right around the corner . He promises beauty for ashes, no matter how dark. No matter how dark!

He weaves together the broken and the beautiful…when we are ready and in His perfect time. He sees the whole story ♡
