Fabric Junk Journal Making – Part 1

Hello friends, as promised, here is Part 1 of the tutorials for creating a junk journal from an old book. I chose to cover this one with fabric and love how it came out. It is imperfect and I do have a lot to learn but the process is rewarding and so much fun. This is Part 1 of a 2 Part video. In this video, we gutted the book, covered it with the fabric and put paper on the inside covers. In Part 2, we will be sewing the signatures in it.

I hope that you enjoy the journey as much as I do 😊 I encourage you to try for yourself.

Head on over to my blog at Brebornart.com for a full list of supplies and closeup photos.

Blessings,

Supplies used:

I am choosing to not list the papers I chose as supplies. Most of them are digital kits from Etsy as well as my own coffee dyed papers. The idea is to use what you have and what brings you joy! I did get the book at Goodwill. I believe the fabric was purchased at Walmart, but again, please use what you have. I used some lace from my stash as well. If you have specific questions, please feel free to leave a comment on the video or on the blog on my website.
