Welcome back, lovelies!
I am so excited to start this brand-new Yummy Christmas Patisserie Beginner Junk Journal Series — the perfect no-stress, holiday-cheer project for this season. 🎄🍰
In today’s video, we are kicking things off by building the entire journal cover and spine. I’ll walk you through simple, step-by-step instructions as we piece the boards together, assemble the spine, and wrap everything in the sweetest red fabric. This fabric adds such a warm pop of color and beautifully complements the vintage tones inside the Christmas Patisserie kit from My Porch Prints.
We will also take a look at the papers I selected for the signatures. This journal will have three signatures, each with nine pages, and to stay true to the beginner-friendly nature of the series, we are primarily using the kit pieces — no coffee dyeing, vintage ephemera, or extras needed!
In Part 2, we’ll come back to sew the signatures in. I’m working backwards this time — normally I make all my ephemera first and save the cover for last — so this will be a fun and refreshing switch!
