Video - Sunday's ART of Truth - Exquisite - Part 2 - 8-29-21

Hello friends,

Welcome to this week’s Sunday’s ART of Truth. This is part 2 of the construction of my Bohemian Beauty Journal. As I mentioned before, I will be giving this journal away once it is complete. Leave a comment on any of the videos in the series for a chance to be chosen.

I wanted to continue to talk about what it means to be exquisite. How do we walk in that? What are the barriers? What is the truth?

I am going to keep this short and sweet today. I recorded this video a couple of weeks before the events in Afghanistan took place.

My heart is heavy over what is happening in our country. I am grieved by the loss of life. The families who have lost their sons, daughters, friends and grandchildren in Afghanistan. It is hard to think about anything else. I am praying for our country.

The bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by name will humble themselves shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land.”

This is the place I sit. This is the place I stand.

We need Jesus. We need peace. We need wisdom. Our leaders need prayer. I want my voice to be heard in heaven.

I honor the 13 fallen soldiers. I honor their exquisite existence. I honor their supreme sacrifice. Death is final and so harsh. To serve our country is one of the greatest honors afforded to men and women in the USA. Each of these beloved, exquisite people have the fingerprint of God on them.

It is easy to pray for them and their families, isn’t it?

Is it so easy to pray for those who are responsible for it? Not so much. It is a supernatural choice to be made. To pray for our enemies is a very hard thing. The truth is, they are also exquisite. They are also beloved. They represent families as well. They are humans who are loved by God regardless of their heinous actions.

My friends, I struggle with this. Do you?

I struggle with the hatred I feel in my heart. The disgust at the atrocities.

I struggle with the reality of the heavy responsibility that lies on their shoulders. The darkness they live in. The deception that drives them. I struggle with wanting them to pay, not merely be identified and held accountable. I must regularly let this go.

These mama’s and daddy’s will never see their children again.

My son served in the Army and did 2 tours in Iraq. I cannot imagine never seeing his face again.
I abide in gratitude that it was not him.

I pray. I cry. I lie awake. It is heart wrenching.

My friends, grab your loved ones closer. Pause and take time to be really present with them. Pour into them all the love that you have. Tell them how exquisite they are. Make sure they know they are beloved.
