Welcome to Part 3 of the Yummy Christmas Patisserie Beginner Junk Journal Series.
In today’s tutorial, I’m sharing how to make simple accordion pockets for junk journals — perfect for holding ephemera bits, tags, and journaling cards. These pockets are especially lovely for the inside front and back covers, adding both function and gentle interaction to your journal without stress or complexity.
This project is very beginner friendly and uses basic supplies, making it ideal if you’re new to junk journaling or simply want an easy, satisfying element to add to your pages. Accordion pockets are one of my favorite ways to create hidden storage and expandable space while keeping the journal flexible and usable.
