This is Episode 14 of our Yummy Christmas Patisserie Beginner Junk Journal Series, and today I’m slowing things down to share something very special — my simple cluster recipe for creating beautiful, layered embellishments for your journals.
In this video, I walk you through how I build clusters using:
• Focal images
• Patterned papers
• Book pages
• Music sheets
• Soft textiles and fibers
I don’t create clusters nearly as often as I should, and every time I do, I’m reminded how joyful and therapeutic the process truly is. There is no right or wrong here — just gentle layering, storytelling, and creative play.
All of today’s clusters are designed specifically for the Yummy Christmas Patisserie Journal, but these techniques can be used in any junk journal, art journal, or mixed-media project.
I hope this inspires you to sit, layer, and enjoy the art of slowing down with paper and texture.
