Today I’m sharing a soft and simple ephemera idea — a double stuffed pocket made with glassine paper. I absolutely love working with transparent and semi-transparent layers in my journals, and glassine brings such a beautiful textile-like softness to any project.
What I love most is the gentle mystery it creates… allowing just a whisper of the journal cards inside to peek through. It feels delicate, layered, and quietly magical — perfect for junk journals, keepsake journals, and slow, mindful creating.
If you don’t have glassine paper, you can absolutely substitute vellum or even regular lightweight paper. The beauty of this design is in the layering and intention, not the supplies.
I hope this inspires you to explore transparent layers in your own journals and to enjoy the peaceful rhythm of simple making.
