In today’s video, I’m sharing a brand-new ephemera design that combines generous writing space with clever pocket construction. This Folding Writing Space Base is narrow enough to tuck into a journal pocket, yet substantial enough to be glued directly onto a page as a functional feature.
The design includes one large full-height pocket along with a skinny pocket that holds a unique folded bookmark. It creates multiple opportunities for journaling, hidden notes, and interactive elements while keeping a slim profile that works beautifully in junk journals, art journals, and faith journals alike.
I love creating pieces that invite storytelling — places where words can live, be protected, and be discovered again later. This project is simple in construction but rich in purpose, making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned journal makers.
