Hello friends,
Welcome to Episode 1 of Mixed Media 101. I am doing this series due to popular request. It has been years since I have made homemade texture paste, so we will learn together in today’s video. While there were things I loved about the homemade version, I still do love my Liquitex Flexible Modeling Paste. I love the predictability of it. The recipe we used today involved using baking soda instead of talcum powder. I will be coming back with another video using the talcum powder recipe. We will also be doing a little test using spackle!
With the homemade paste, you really need to play around with the consistency so that your texture paste doesn’t run under the stencils.
I hope you enjoy!
The only supply I have for this video is a link for the store bought modeling paste, which will always be my favorite. Though the price point is around 28.00 for 16 ounces, I have had it for at least 3 years.
There will be more products I share as we move along in the series.
